Flu Activity in Bulgaria Lower Than Last Year Thanks to Vaccination

Sofia — Flu activity in Bulgaria remains at a lower level compared to the same period last year, representatives of the country’s Ministry of Health have reported.

According to the ministry, the positive trend is primarily linked to increased vaccine procurement and higher vaccination rates among the population. Authorities emphasize that preventive measures are producing tangible results in containing the spread of the virus.

Medical experts urge citizens who have not yet been vaccinated to take the opportunity to protect themselves against flu, particularly those in risk groups — elderly people, individuals with chronic conditions, and healthcare workers.

Bulgaria’s Ministry of Health continues to monitor the epidemiological situation and calls on the population to observe preventive measures, including personal hygiene and timely vaccination.
